Pams pancreatic cancer journey
UPDATE- so it’s been a year and we have gone through 17 rounds of chemo so far with many more to go . Then we will continue onto radiation. Currently my mom is not working anymore where she was due to all the appointments and being sick coconstantly . She was living on what she was able to get on short term disability but they have cut that off and denied her long term . Currently she is speaking with a lawyer thug things like that unfortunately take some time . We hate to have to update this again it even ask for any type of help, but sometimes we have to let our guard down and be transparent with our loved ones . I try to help as much as I can with appointments and daily things , but with a family of my own, financially it’s hard doing both so the disability has really helped her still pay her mortgage car etc .

Original post from last year ——So my mom (Pam) was diagnosed with stage 2 pancreatic cancer at the end of September 2020. They wanted her to start chemo therapy as soon as possible . As of right now they are planning on 6 chemo sessions before re scanning to see where she is at for surgery .
She just had her second treatment and unfortunately there is more bad days recently than good and even though she had been blessed with being able to work from home , she has a job where she is on the phones constantly making it hard to work like she needs to .
My mom has always been a single mom and the hardest worker I have ever met , so I know this has been hard and stressful for her to make sure she is working enough to pay her medical bills , mortgage, and all other bills that come with being an adult .
She has a big heart and is such a giver , but she is one to have a hard time acceptinghelp in return (god love her lol) , so I wanted to go ahead and make this to help her out a little bit financially so that can be one less thing she has to worry about while getting through this journey .
