Pampered Paws TCI Hurricane Relief

Please help Pampered Paws in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. Hurricanes Irma and Maria have seriously damaged the facilty, and repair materials and supplies on the island are scarce. I have started this campaign to ask for the world's help to provide resources to repair the facility and for supplies to care for the animals boarded there.

Pampered Paws took in 3 times its normal volume of pets during Hurricane Irma (over 100 animals), enabling many dogs and cats, and the occasional bird and fish, a safe place to ride out the storm. Some of these animals are ownerless; others have owners who were not on the island at the time.

I met a great group of people who helped dry, clean and patch up the kennels, rooms, roof and walls after Irma - ultimately only to get ready for hurricane Maria. This group of people had its own challenges at home to address, but they took time to first focus on the animals. It is an inspiring group, and I am glad my father-in-law and I set aside our repair needs to pitch in as well.

While the entire island, country and region needs help, if you have a desire to help animals, I urge you to contribute to this campaign to benefit Pampered Paws on Provo.

Hurricane Irma gave me the opportunity to help, and I look forward to continuing to help in the future. This is, at least for me, a way to turn a tragedy into something sustainably good. Please join me in helping his worthy organization.

"Pampered Paws, the TCI’s only boarding, grooming, and training facility has provided runs for TCSPCA pups since 2002. Each year owner Donna Doran and her wonderful staff provide “room and board,” medical care, training, and loads of TLC to hundreds of pups and older dogs, many who are in truly terrible physical and emotional condition when they arrive."

- All funds will be provided in cash to Pampered Paws, or to acquire repair materials and pet supplies (food, medicine, bowls, beds, blankets, toys, etc.) in the US and ship to TCI (this is less expensive and readily available compared to on island purchases)
