Celebrating Pam Giffin-Brees

As many know, we lost a force of color from Niles this last Tuesday, July 25, 2017. Pam Giffin-Brees was everyone's teacher, friend, mother, grandmother, and go-to person for events. From her mermaid hair to her shiny scooter, Pam's beauty sparkled in all her many passions. She was Grandmother Goose to many story times, master quilter and seamstress to many projects, Frieda Khalo at Dia de los Muertos celebrations, teacher Pam to young students and teenagers alike, and Grandma Pam to her much-adored grandkids and the ones she adopted around town.

Pam's family would like to celebrate Pam's colorful beauty with a Niles event she would have loved to help set up and participate in. As many of you know, this event will be as big as Pam was around town and beyond. The event is scheduled for August 12th, so we need funds soon.

We are asking for help in funding this celebration of Pam's life. All proceeds will fund this event as well as a future memorial bench for us to sit and have a chat with her and groups Pam was passionately involved in such as Boldly Me (http://boldlyme.wixsite.com/boldlyme), Living Reef Memorials (http://livingreefmemorial.com/), Niles Alter Walk, and Save Our Monarchs (http://www.saveourmonarchs.org).

All funds will be managed by Amy Brees, daughter of Pam Giffin-Brees.
