Pamela Jensen and Kasey O’Keefe

In the early morning hours of Monday October 9th Pamela and her wife Kasey were awakened when the power when out in their home in Coffey Park – a section of Santa Rosa CA. Looking outside they saw smoke and ash falling on their lawn. Once outside they saw shingles ripping from their roof by the hurricane force winds. They saw the houses that backed up to theirs on fire. This was the Tubbs Fire that devastated Santa Rosa. They were able to escape with the clothes on their backs, a few mementos and their cat and dog. They had less than 30 minutes to gather themselves and flee. They have lost everything they have built together over the last 19 years. Over the years they saved their money to remodel their home in stages – 6 months ago they finished the last room – the master bathroom. Two and a half weeks after the fire Pamela and Kasey have finally found a home to rent until theirs can be rebuilt. They are being told it will be 2-5 years to rebuild. Pamela has been a giver to her community and honestly she and Kasey are a little shy about asking for help – they are so used to being the ones to provide the help and not being the ones needing the help. We are asking for whatever you can provide to help them during these next few months of rebuilding their household and the years ahead to rebuild their lives.
