Micronutrient Forum Global Conference

Hi friends!!

As you may know, I moved to Atlanta with the goal of exploring the field of public health and nutrition. For the past 6 months, I've been working as a volunteer intern with an organization called the Flour Fortification Initiative on a food fortification research paper. It has been QUITE the learning experience and I have never worked so hard on writing a paper....well, EVER. Scientific research writing on a topic that I came in with no knowledge on has proven to be a huge struggle, but have been so lucky to have the support and trust of my mentor, colleagues, university personnel, and friends to take on this project. The paper abstract was submitted to the Micronutrient Forum Global Conference last November...and guess what?? It was ACCEPTED for presentation!! I still can't believe it. This year the conference is in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and features scientists, policy makers, teachers, program specialists, and researchers-- all on a quest to fight micronutrient malnutrition.

I would love to be able to attend the conference to showcase the work I've devoted so much time and effort to, and am asking for your help in making it all possible.
