Pam is my colleague and beautiful friend. She is selfless, giving, compassionate and has a true heart of service for others. It was really hard for her to accept this offer of help.
Pam has raised five children; two of whom she adopted after working in Uganda, caring and working for those in need. She now works supporting the most vulnerable women and children in our community.
So now it’s our turn to help Pam. Sadly, Pam is in constant, excruciating pain and needs to raise $20,000 for surgery in the USA ASAP to fix a previous procedure.
Pam believed she was following the best medical advice, having a mesh net-like sling implanted to treat chronic urinary incontinence as a result of having children. At the time Pam was fit, healthy and training for half marathons. The consequences for Pam are an eroded urethra, numerous complications and living with daily chronic pain. Pam needs a very specialised operation urgently to have it removed and very few doctors will perform the procedure.
Pam has suffered a silent journey for the last 8 years until she recently started hearing of hundreds of women who were, like her, guinea pigs for the medical device industry. Pam needs your help to have this much needed surgery in the USA and hopes she can go on to become an advocate for the many very sick and injured women who were also unknowingly deceived.
Pam is honest, authentic, selfless and gives tirelessly to others. She desperately NEEDS this surgery. This battle has taken its toll physically and emotionally on Pam; who never complains, always has a smile on her face, but can only take so much. She wants to continue supporting and caring for others, giving her time to make this world a better place.
