Palmer's Missions Trip to Kenya

This May, I have the incredible opportunity to join Baylor University's mission trip to Kenya as part of a women’s leadership program. Ever since eighth grade, the chance to go and serve in Africa has been something on my heart. Now, I am thrilled to make that prayer a reality!
As a part of this trip, I will be serving women in all walks of life in the city of Nairobi for two weeks. I am excited to visit women’s shelters, orphanages and microfinance organizations throughout the city. We will also be sharing the gospel with community leaders through hosting leadership seminars, serving children in Kibera Slum, one of the largest slums in the world, and advocating for issues of poverty at the U.S. Embassy. When I learned of all the components of this trip, I knew all these opportunities aligned with my own mission and calling.
As I answer this call, I want to ask for you to partner with me in prayer. I will be praying for a team that works well together to the glory of God, safety throughout the trip, and a readiness to serve and learn as I go to Kenya. The cost of this trip is $3,320, including travel, food, and shelter and I am praying to raise the remaining $2,000 of this total amount after a scholarship I received and contributions from my own savings.
