Palette Bakery Ceiling Collapse

On Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 the ceiling of Cedar City’s beloved Palette Bakery suddenly collapsed. Miraculously there were no injuries, however this shocking event leaves 29 employees jobless heading into the Christmas season as well as many pieces of equipment damaged or in disrepair. Our owners Matt and Erica Farmer have transformed this small town bakery dramatically since buying it in January of 2022. The Farmers, along with many employees and helping hands in the community have spent countless hours updating and renovating the space to be the beautiful and fun hangout Southern Utahns know and love today. This collapse has caused a major setback. Unfortunately the Farmers have learned a hard life lesson when it comes to insurance, they are getting little to no help from their insurance and are unsure where to go from here. The ceiling repair is also not being covered due to it being a “sudden collapse” With help from the community they are hoping to at least keep their employees paid and start over with the bare minimum. Your donations will contribute to payroll for the employees of our Palette Bakery family as well as aid in purchasing new equipment and repairing the ceiling. Many have asked how they can help and support us during this crazy time. A donation, share, or purchase when we open back up would mean the world to us.
