My name is Gabrielle Nanci Pierotti and I'm a budding paleoanthropologist.
I've been studying to be one since I was 6 years old,
Here I am on a trip to a petroglyph site in Arizona when I was 9.
Anyway, I'm a freshman in college now, and I've been accepted to a very prestigious Paleoindian field school this summer at Hell Gap Wyoming, and it's the sort of thing that could make or break the career of a young anthropologist. Positions are awarded based off academic prowess. When I got accepted, I thought the hard part was over.
However, when my dad lost his job about a month ago, getting in turned out to be a far easier matter than financing it.
That's why I'm asking you to share what you can, even if it's only a few dollars. I worked really hard to get into this programme and will have to turn down my space on the team if I can't come up with the money to pay for it by the programme's start date of July 2nd.
