Pakistan Under Monsoon Rain Flood

My name is Areesha Qureshi, and I am raising funds for the floods that are now threatening people's lives in Pakistan. This monsoon rain has had a negative impact on Pakistan since it has resulted in fatalities and the loss of life, as well as people being despondent and losing their houses. The tremendous monsoon downpour has exceeded all prior records, forcing residents to flee to government schools, hospitals, and other open fields/grounds. According to reports, more than 800 people have perished and over 4000 have been wounded in Sindh province as a result of the extreme flooding. One can only picture the enormous loss of human life, crop damage, and flooding of houses carried away by monsoon water.Monsoon rains have inundated huge portions of Pakistan, particularly in Baluchistan and the southern part of Sindh Province. It has impacted the Hyderabad Division, Larkana, and Sukkur. The yearly monsoon is necessary for irrigating crops and refilling lakes and dams throughout the Indian subcontinent, but it also delivers a wave of damage each year. Officials say this year’s floods are comparable to 2010 – the worst on record – when more than 2,000 people died and nearly a fifth of the country was underwater. According to a preliminary estimate, over 90% of the standing crop has submerged in the water, which might cause another massive problem since consumers would not see agricultural items in the market, causing inflation to rise. Almost all of Pakistan has suffered this year, but the worst hit areas are Balochistan and Sindh in

to the south and west. The experts have their opinion that such large-scale destruction cannot be rehabilitated government alone unless international assistance pours in. The socio-economic and local infrasture have completely collapsed and it will take years to restore and rebuild this infrastructure through public and private partnerships.
