Pakistan Floods: Appeal for aid

Since mid-June 2022, Pakistan has been drenched by extreme monsoon rains that have led to the country’s worst flooding in a decade. According to Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority, the floods have affected more than 33 million people and destroyed or damaged more than 1 million houses. At least 1,100 people were killed by floodwaters that inundated tens of thousands of square kilometers of the country.

The worst is yet to come as Pakistan reports massive outbreak of diarrhea and malaria among flood victims.

I therefore appeal for an immense humanitarian response from the international community, as the rain and flooding have caused an estimated $10 billion in damages to people, property and crops. Please join me in contributing to this fund.

The funds collected by this platform will be used to help the flood victims in their rehabilitation and providing for their immediate needs.
