She is an Angel

Journal entry by Tabetha Ervin

Paisley Suzanne is a fighter. She is one of the strongest girls we had all ever known. Sept. 5 2017 at 11:15 a.m. she walked through the gates of heaven and sat at the right hand of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We will always love and cherish the 2 short years we had together and never forget the memories that were made. Over the last week and a half Paisley has touched thousands of people's hearts and has shown them the way to Christ. For this we are thankful. We ask that everyone continue to pray for our family as the mourning of losing her begins. Paisley Suzanne Ervin is a fighter and she will continue to fight in our hearts until we are reunited again.

While the family is in mourn they also had to lay sweet Paisley Suzanne to rest. They still have a long journey ahead of them and if anyone would still like to donate it would help the family with funeral cost and other cost. Thank you to everyone for you support and generosity it has been very appreciated.

On August 26th, Paisley (2), Levi (8), and their grandparents (Kristan and Steve) were involved in a car accident on Highway 70. A piece of metal struck underneath their vehicle, puncturing the gas tank, and igniting the vehicle. Levi escaped physically unharmed, but it was a struggle to get Paisley out of her car seat. An individual stopped and assisted in getting Paisley out of the car. Paisley was then flown to Children's and transferred to Mercy Burn Unit.

Steve and Kristan both suffer from 3rd degree burns from trying to get Paisley out of the car. They are also receiving treatment and plan to have surgeries, including skin graphing.

Paisley has 3rd and 4th degree burns covering 70% of her body. She is in critical, but stable condition. The goal as of current is to keep Paisley stable and comfortable for the next two weeks until a further plan is decided.

As of late, Paisley has received and will continue to receive blood transfusions. For current updates on Paisley's condition, a Caring Bridge page has been created. https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/paisleyervin

With such high needs, Paisley will need 24-hour care and a multitude of surgeries over a course of years. With the amount of treatment needed for Paisley, the medical costs will be substantial.

Paisley's parents, Eric and Tabetha Ervin, are young parents from Troy, Mo. Eric has served in the United States Air Force for 10 years and has served 3 tours overseas and was expected to leave on his 4th in January, with training beginning in October. Tabetha is a devoted mother and military wife, working a full-time job.

These donations will be used to meet Paisley and her family's needs during this long journey to recovery. We greatly thank and appreciate the prayers and your assistance for this family.
