Pain relief for Keevan #cancersucks

Donation protected
My dad was just diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer. He is 64 years old and has no insurance because he couldn’t afford the high price for obomacare. He has worked hard his entire life and receives social security and a small pension from the paper mill where he worked 30 + years. He does not meet the federal poverty level so there is absolutely no help available for him to start treatment. The cancer has spread to his spine. The pain is excruciating. He does not have the funds to receive any kind of pain management and the oncologist refuses to see him without a biopsy. They are requiring a CT guided biopsy that is extremely expensive along with the lab fees that could easily exceed 5K alone. He needs help to find pain relief. His Medicare will start on April 1st but I’m afraid he may not make it that long. This is my desperate attempt to help my dad find some help. It breaks my heart to see him in so much pain knowing that there is nothing I can do to help him. Please help me to give him some relief even if only for a little while.

About my Dad
What can you say about the most selfless person I have ever known? My parents divorced when I was very young. My mother decided it best that I live with my father. How could I have know that would be the best gift she could have given me. My dad raised me as a single father. I know raising a teenage girl is tough but he did it proudly and with all his heart. He taught me to work hard and to be independent and honest.
My dad worked every day until the paper mill he worked at closed the doors and he was forced into early retirement.
We never had fancy things but he always made it a point to randomly take his daughter out for some new outfits. He always said that if you look your best than you feel your best. He taught me to fish, ride quads, water ski and respect family.

Now I am older with 2 girls of my own he has passed on his love to my girls and grandpa is their best friend. He has been to every birthday party, gymnastics meet, softball game and basketball game. Attended both girls graduation proudly. He has helped me raise these girls and has influenced them in ways I couldn’t. I will be forever grateful for that.

He is a humble and prideful man that deserves the very best but rarely gets his so deserved.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story please imagine yourself in my situation as I am watching my wonderful father suffer. Not only am I asking for donations for his medical care but any suggestions would be very welcomed as well.
