Dear Friends,

This summer, Paige was diagnosed with an ailment which requires a relocation and specific treatment.    Due to Paige's unique diagnosis,  they are relocating from Kansas to call New York home for the next six months in order to give her the best care possible.  For their time in New York they will be staying at a room at the Ronald McDonald House.  Paige's case is extremely rare and although they are working with the nation's best doctors that specialize in Retinoblastoma, even they have only seen a handful of cases of late onset metastatic Retinoblastoma.  In her case, the metastases is in the bone but it is treatable.  Thankfully her eyes and brain remain stable and unaffected.

The outlook is excellent but they have a long and challenging road ahead.  Over the next couple of weeks, Paige will have to undergo more testing to determine involvement of the bone marrow, as well as another biopsy to repeat testing on the tumor in her ankle.  Her treatment plan requires five rounds of chemotherapy at 3-4 week intervals.  They will also harvest her stem cells and transplant them after round five, which will be followed by a 4-6 week stay in the Bone Marrow Transplant unit.

Funds are needed to support Paige's treatment, their stay in New York, travel expenses, and the loss of income and insurance.

They are so thankful for such an amazing community of love and support.  Thank you for all of your prayers, good thoughts, positive vibes and donations.
