“The neighbors house is on fire!” That’s what my next door neighbor said to me. We ran outside and witnessed smoke coming from the roof moments before the blaze broke through the walls and turned it into a fully engulfed inferno. We ran across the street and joined another neighbor who was already outside. Everyone was concerned about one thing; the people who lived there. Word spread quickly that they had been witnessed escaping to safety. That’s all that mattered! Now we can join together in helping them get back on their feet before Christmas!

Who we are and where we are from-
My name is Nicholas Borelli, I live in the same neighborhood of the fire, Suffolk Meadows. I took the video and I run the community Facebook page. When the group of neighbors saw what happened we all wanted to help and that’s why we made this GoFundMe. I was a volunteer firefighter in New England and for Driver Station 10, here in Suffolk, and I have seen first hand the difficulty homeowners can suffer when a catastrophe like this happens.
Your relationship or contact to the parties you're raising funds for-
We are only neighbors. We do not know the homeowners personally. The outpouring of concerned neighbors who don’t know the homeowners and yet want to help has been awesome!
How the funds will be spent-
The donation will be approved as long as the fire is not deemed the result of illegal activities. We will contact the homeowners directly at that time. We are already in communication with the fire marshal regarding this.
Your withdrawal plan to get the funds from the campaign to the ultimate beneficiary/ies-
Once the cause is identified we will contact the homeowners and provide their account information and set up a direct distribution to them.
