PACT's campaign for PACT Animal Sanctuary

Tax deductible
In April 1995 PACT was born, registered as a charity and we began to rescue a few cats and dogs.  Then the RSPCA closed their Drayton Road animal home and PACT became very busy.       In April 1999 PACT moved to River Farm in Woodrising with 100 animals and one employee, and began to grow and as the years went by more and more animals were rescued all under the watchful eye of Chris.  She was the inspiration; she had the knowledge and the desire to believe that PACT would succeed to become a saviour of animals in need.       Each year brought in more poorly animals that needed help, by 2005 our tenth year we were employing some 20 people and caring for never less than 400 animals.  We also opened our first shop.   The Trustees purchased the freehold of River Farm to secure their future for ever.       We looked forward to 2020, our 25th year and planned the celebration but were devastated in March 2019 Chris finally succumbed to many illnesses and died.  This was the time when everything should have fallen apart but thanks to the amazing love that our staff and friends had for Chris and the animals, during that year PACT grew stronger and looked forward to our anniversary year determined to make it true memorial year for Chris.       Nobody could have foreseen just how 2020 would turn out.   By this time we had 15 shops that were helping to fund the sanctuary with £30,000 every month and employing 32 people in the shops and 42 people in the sanctuary all caring for over 100 animals half of which were wildlife.       We sadly temporarily shut the shops on the 24th March and began to cut down the costs to a minimum.   Many of the shop staff have asked to volunteer at the sanctuary and the sanctuary staff are working hard to cover for those that are not able to.       So this is where you come in, our supporters, we need help. The animals need help, we have over 1,600 animals to feed, to clean and to look after.  We are quite frankly struggling, without our shops and regular donations from our supporters our future is bleak.  So we are asking for help, please dig deep in our time of need, and support us in looking after our animals. We thank you for reading, every penny helps.  Thank you.
