Pablo's Nursing School Tuition

From a young age my brother Pablo has always wanted to help people. As we grew older he fell in love with the sciences and medicine. Pablo decided to focus his full attention in his undergraduate career in nursing. After multiple failed attempts of acceptance to the traditional nursing program he decided to tackle the program in a different direction.
Pablo discovered a different niche where his passions could be utilized in the major of Speech Language Pathology. However, he never gave up on his true aspiration of nursing. Pablo worked closely with individuals who had a wide range of communicative abilities and cognitive impairments with the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association and Operation Smile. Working with these individuals solidified his aspirations to continue the path to nursing no matter what it took to achieve this goal. Having a background in speech language pathology can be useful in every aspect of nursing since nurse’s work with one of the most diverse patient populations. As a Registered Nurse he will endure to help all members of the community. Pablo continued to make the Dean's Honor List by achieving a 3.8 GPA by the time he graduated. All while holding a job at a local cafe and volunteering for the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association.
Upon Pablo’s graduation from San Francisco State University he was accepted into Mount Saint Mary’s Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. The rigorous one year accelerated program is nationally recognized as one of the best nursing programs in California. Pablo thought his dreams had finally been answered until he got the bill. Tuition alone at this private university is $60,000 roughly $20,000 each trimester. Living expenses for books, nursing supplies, food, gas, and rent is an estimated $3,000 a trimester or $9,000 for the year. Learning the right set of skills taught by this university will set him up to help others for the rest of his life.
