Home destroyed by fire
Donation protected
I know that the wildfires have ravaged a large portion of the western US at this point. However, a few days ago my Dad and Mom who live in Omak were awoken when the neighbor banged on their door at midnight and told them to leave due to the cold spring fire right behind their house. Without hesitation they left everything (EVERYTHING) in their house and drove down the hill to safety. No more than 10 minutes later, they lost everything. My father is a 77 year old Korea and Vietnam vet and they both live on a fixed income.
They just finished a remodel to their home of 20 years to make it their permanent place.
They are both the type of people that would do anything for anyone and would happily give the shirts off their backs (if they had any).
I know that the money wont replace all of the memories lost in the fire, but hopefully it can help to ease the burden.
I would like to set this small fund up to cover the costs until they can handle everything with insurance. This is something that they would never ask for but could definitely help.
If you are able to donate that is amazing, if not keeping them in your thoughts/prayers would be great as well.
