Mom's Funeral & Expenses

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Erin. My mother recently passed away. We were not expecting it at all! I am shattered. My mom and I had so many big plans for the future. She even made me sign up to walk in my graduation ceremony. We were going to go out on Black Friday and find the perfect outfit for her to wear to my college graduation.  She was going to babysit my youngest daughter while I went to work after graduation. We even talked about buying a big house with a suite for her! All the plans slipped away with her when she passed.

That day I had gone to her house to talk about graduation and other things with her, just like I do several times a week. I found her on the floor and called the paramedics. We spent 5 days in the hospital. My brother, husband, and I NEVER left. She was in the ICU in critical condition. She was on life support.

All I could think about was trying to keep my mom and what happened if she didn't make it? What would I tell my daughters?  How do I tell them their Mowl (a nickname from my oldest) is not coming home? How do we eat while we are here? How do we get through Christmas and Thanksgiving without her? She is my best friend!

After about 18 hours of being hungry - my husband and I decided we had no choice but to use the small amount of money saved for Christmas.  Then 5 days later the shock set in. I have no mom, no Christmas, I have her house but can I live in it? I have graduation that I don’t even want to go to because she is not there. I have 2 daughters and a niece who have lost their Mowl.  Then the social worker walks up and asks “Any idea how you can pay for a service or anything?” I wanted to puke. My brother actually did.

So this is why I made a GoFundMe Account. We need help. My brother and I can’t afford anything. We have been trying to sell stuff she made or antiques she had but no luck. She was on social security and had no life insurance.  We would appreciate all the help we can get. Thank you so much for everything.
