My name is Johnesha, this is my dad Johnny he passed away today after a long battle with diabetes complications. When I was in the 4th-5th grade he had a heart attack which led to a 4-way bypass. By the grace of god he recovered quickly and was given a beautiful baby girl soon after. Slowly he began to lose toe after toes until they gave him a below knee amputation. I helped him recover the best we could while being homeless and fighting a domestic violence case against his wife that put him in a diabetic coma after locking him away from me for a week and a half. Once we finally got him comfortable life took a turn and he ended up losing his leg again after another episode of homelessness. Thanks to his brother and his nephew along with his wife they were able to place him in hospice facility where he unfortunately passed on. I normally don’t like asking for help in any sense but honestly death is very expensive, uncomfortable to talk about, and more importantly hard to cope with. I honestly can’t bare the thought of life without him in it. His final wishes for as long as I can remember is for him to be cremated and his ashes spread in the Compton area which will be an intimate memorial between family and a repass that will be open to anyone who wants to attend (location and date of services will be disclosed when we gather his remains) Anything will help, my family really really appreciates anything even 2 dollars will help his vision come to fruition. Blessing to all and Thank you for reading.
UPDATE: Thank you for everyone for all your love and support in this time. His Celebration of life will take place August 22nd in San Bernardino, CA after his private ash ceremony in Compton. All donations have and will be used for transportation for the ash ceremony, flowers, clothes for his grandchildren for the ceremony, tables and chairs, food, and drinks. My family and I are very appreciative of everything that you give, and have given. Even words of support are highly appreciated. Keeping everyone in my prayers
