Help Laurie beat Cancer

Finally after a couple changes from Vancouver General we have dates, Feb 26th a PET scan which is a full scan to determine spread. Feb 27 is Surgery Consult then on Feb 28th is surgery date. Radiation to follow in Kelowna will be determined after surgery. We are booked in to Jean C Barber Cancer Lodge from Feb 25th to Mar 4 at a cost of $110 plus taxes per day which is the best we could find. This has been stressful and will be costly so we are greatful for the help so far and appreciate anyone else wishing to donate.
EDIT January 21 Due to Laurie having a really bad case of the flu the Jan 22 surgery has been postponed to Mid Febuary, now they want her to go to Van Feb 8th for more tests then return home then back to Vancouver. This is making us crazy like they don't understand our situation. It has already been determined there will also be follow up visits. Laurie has an appointment this Wed with her Dr here we are really going to try to get our point across that we don'thave the ability to keep running back and forth and hopfully use some logic to maximize time and limit travel. I will keep everyone updated here. To date your kindness and generosity has had us it tears, it is so overwhelming. Words cannot discribe our feelings. With your help we are able to start down this road so thank you. I do feel it is going to be the beginning of a long haul but with your help we can beat this.

My wife has been recently diagnosed with cancer of the ovaries and awaiting results to see how much more it is spread. This will require surgery and aggressive treatment which will need to be in Vancouver. The Dr is working as quickley as possible to make things happen however we need your help now. UPDATE The surgery is scheduled for mid January and we will need to be there for 1 week to start. I no longer have an income due to recent heart surgery and although that seems to have gone ok I am progressively losing mobility of my right shoulder and arm movement. Our vehicle is not fit for highway travel without some work. All of our savings have been exausted and most assests sold to sustain my recovery. It is most important we get Laurie her treatment necessary asap as cancer doesn't wait for anyone.
Funds recieved from this campain will be used to help get Laurie and myself back and forth from Vancouver and help provide living expences through this exausting ordeal.
