Rally for Matt

My name is Brandi Downs-Jones and I am asking you to help save my brother Matthew’s life. Matt is battling late stage colon cancer that has spread to his liver. He is only 45.   The doctor has given him a prognosis of a couple of months if he doesn’t do chemo.  With chemo, he can expect to extend his life a couple of years.   We are devastated and frightened at the possibility of losing him.  Situations like this are never timely, but this one seems surprisingly cruel.  Matt not only landed his dream job, he found the love of his life.  He and Teresa recently moved in together and were going through life, enjoying a loving relationship.  Sudden weight loss prompted Matt to get a checkup and after some testing, he was told the very bad news.  He has already started aggressive chemotherapy which he is receiving through a port in his chest. 

Matt has expressed that he would like to continue working while going through treatment, if not just for the distraction.  I am reaching out through GoFundMe to try to raise money to help with living expenses and alternative treatment, so that Matt doesn’t have to worry about working to pay his living expenses while he is in the fight of his life – literally. The alternative treatment centers that we are deciding on are The Gerson Clinic in Tijuana, Mexico and Hawaii Naturopathic Retreat in Hilo, Hawaii.  Both have amazing reviews and great success stories for late stage cancers.  Both clinics utilize a mix of alternative and holistic treatment with stronger chemical options as back-up.  Unfortunately, these options are cash only. 

I am asking all my friends and family to help us raise money to help my brother.  I don’t want him to have to work or even worry about how he is going to pay his bills at this time.  He is going to need all of his strength for this fight.  Please share this around and please keep him in your prayers.  Thank you.
