Raising funds for Calais

A huge thank you to everybody who has supported us! We are going back to Calais on Thursday to volunteer in the Jungle and Grande-Synthe camps and are once again collecting donations so that we can help support the amazing work done by the volunteers.
The conditions in the Jungle and in the Grande-Synthe camp near Dunkirk are horrendous with men, women and children living in the freezing mud at risk of disease and unable to keep warm or dry. The work the volunteers do is incredible and all donations will be given directly to the L'Auberge des Migrants workshop who build shelters to get people out of tents, and to the kitchen who feed thousands of people every day. It is the work of these volunteers and donations from people like you that are keeping people from freezing and starving so please give what you can.

On 28th December we are driving over to Calais to volunteer in the migrant camp known as The Jungle. There are currently over 6,000 migrants from places like Syria, Iran, and Pakistan now living in The Jungle in horrendous conditions that are getting worse with the onset of winter.
With the freezing wet weather, these people are desperately in need of our support. We will use donations to buy tents, warm clothes, waterproof coats, boots and socks, sleeping bags, blankets and other much needed items.
Please spare a thought to the people living in The Jungle this Christmas and give what you can. We know money is tight at Christmas but these people have nothing so every little bit really does help.
