If the Shoe Fits

Donation protected

For several years I have been telling stories of Stoneham in a column I write for the Stoneham Independent. From "Jabez Allen, Stoneham's Bad Boy" to "Hannah Bray, Civil War Nurse," these stories shine light on our past in a way that illuminates who we are today.  I have now collected 50 of these stories in a little book, with illustrations, titled: If the Shoe Fits. To bring this book to print, I need the support of my community. Publication costs are  $2,800 for a first run of 500 copies, to be available at the Book Oasis in Stoneham. I am most grateful for your support.

Bio: Professor emeritus of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, I have lived in Stoneham for 40 years with my wife and children. I recently published In Graves Unmarked: Slavery & Abolition in Stoneham, Massachusetts.
