Baby Emma

As many of you know, I am pregnant with my first baby, Emma! I am currently 36 weeks pregnant. To say this pregnancy has been pleasant is far from true. I am up all night long with extreme itching and right upper quadrant pain. The doctors are questioning Cholestasis of Pregnancy, a liver disease formed during pregnancy. Unfortunately, I have been confined to bedrest for the rest of my pregnancy due to high risk of complications and frequent preterm contractions. Bedrest means no work. I have an extra 7 weeks of unplanned leave due to this bedrest and stressing over how I am going to afford rent, bills, and medical appointments/bills related to this pregnancy as a single momma. Baby Emma and myself have to be monitored twice weekly with nonstress tests and ultrasounds.  I am reaching out to family and friends for any assistance to help me through these next 7 weeks. It is so hard for me to reach out to others for help as I have always been an independent woman and have made ends meet on my own. A good friend of mine told me sometimes, we need a little extra help and that’s ok. So please, if you could be of any assistance to Baby Emma and I we would be eternally thankful!
