Cause for Paws

Hi there!

We are a team of students from the University of Minnesota Duluth committed to supporting the actions of Animal Allies through fundraising efforts of various types. This gofundme is our virtual fundraiser that will run through Monday, May 2nd, and any donation will help make an impact.

 

Be sure to come and support us in person on Tuesday, April 26th 4-6 p.m. for our fundraising event at The Tweed Museum of Art. The exhibition itself will remain open at the Tweed Museum from April 26th-May 6th. The Cause for Paws Fundraising Event will feature artwork for sale from Duluth artists, students, and the animals themselves. Following the event will be a brief celebration as we reveal the amount raised from the event.

*This group of UMD students share a passion for animals and impacting their local Duluth community. Animal Allies has been apart of the Duluth community for over 60 years and continues to be a growing and inspirational non-profit. Financial donations make a huge difference and aid in buying food, bedding and other supplies. “Many of these animals need veterinarian care, medical assistance and spaying/neutering. Your donations will help provide the care abandoned animals need until a suitable home is found for them” (Animal Allies). The Cause for Paws Fundraising Event is a great way to show your support for the furry friends in our community. 

The Cause for Paws Fundraising Event is part of an annual ‘friendly competition’ between the multiple sections of the UMD Dept. of Art & Design’s senior capstone studios. Designed to help the students create a positive social impact in their local community under the guidance of David Short, Assoc. Professor of Graphic Design, and Graphic Design Area Chair. The fundraising event has raised several thousand dollars for a variety of local twin ports not-for-profits over the past six years.
