Kaelie the Incredible

Over the course of the past few weeks, the Wunschel family(Rich, Sara, Megan, Allison, Sydney, and Kaelie) has been shaken by the life altering news that their youngest daughter, Kaelie, has neuroblastoma.
Neuroblastoma is a rare form of childhood cancer. Most children diagnosed are younger than 5 years old and only about 700 cases are diagnosed per year in the U.S.
The doctors at the UW American Family Childrens Hospital discovered a mass behind Kaelie's liver as well as being throughout the bone marrow in her thighs. Due to the fact that she is almost eight years old and that the cancer has spread from one spot, she is classified in the high risk category.
Kaelie has already began her first week of daily chemo treatments as part of the aggressive plan that will span the next 18 months. It will include rounds of chemo, radiation therapy, and possibly transfusions, transplants or surgery.
Many people have reached out to see what they can do to help. For that reason, we thought it best to create this page. All the money raised will go towards medical expenses and whatever unplanned expenses come up. We're hoping this will alleviate some of the financial strain, so Rich and Sara can focus their energy on getting Kaelie well.
For the love and support that has already been shown to the Wunschels, thank you to each and every one of you. Your kindness and generosity means so much!!
Thank you!
Team Kaelie
