A Celebration of Life

It is with a humble heart that I share this story. On her birthday, 2/19, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer that spread to her liver. She has asked me to take her to an island on one last family vacation since so much on her bucket list was never accomplished. Her oncologist agrees that this would be a wonderful venture for her and will graciously have his team teach me to care for her port and administer meds or IV fluids as needed. It is a proven fact that cancer patients have a longer survival rate if they are healthy of spirit, receive positive energy and have love from relatives. In a short amount of time I need a miracle to make all of this possible. I would like to book this dream vacation for her, hire an oncology hospice nurse to come and help me with her care and purchase a motorized scooter to help her get around since it has been difficult these days. Insurance will not cover the scooter nor the nurse for out of home activities. If you knew my mother personally you would know a woman who stopped for hurt animals on the side of the road, was the 1st to offer help at an accident, the friend who loaned you money even if it put her in a bind and never let a problem go unsolved. Please help me show her that it's her time to be cared for and thanked for all she has done in her beautiful life and send her on an amazing holiday. Thank you so much.
