Rural school in India needs your help

Hi! My name is Avantika Barve and I am raising funds for a rural school in India.

 

These kids love coming to Gyansadhana school since learning in this school with dedicated teachers is so much fun!

The students of this school come from surrounding rural villages and some have to walk ~ 4-5 km each way. Their parents and families are extremely poor, the average income being ~ 1-2 USD. These factors often prevent the children from attending school regularly. To enable regular attendance, the teachers of the school contribute from their meager monthly wages to pay for transportation. As more parents are eager to send their children to school, the school is in need of a van to transport the children from their homes to school and back. The school is looking to purchase an eco-friendly CNG van which costs approximately 7000 USD (equivalent to ~ 5.5 lakhs INR).

 

Your donation will be used to purchase the school van and will have a long lasting impact on the children who will be able to attend school regularly.
