Medical Volunteer Trip

Donation protected
When I first thought about volunteering abroad with projects-abroad, I knew I wanted to go somewhere exotic, somewhere where medicine isn't as advanced or where the culture is so different they warn you about culture shock. For me, Mongolia seemed like an awesome place because I could go see a part of the world where everything, from how the people talk to how they do something as routine as a physical, is different.
This trip entails 2 weeks in Ulaanbataar, Mongolia in a local teaching hospital, observing surgeries and learning their medical practices. I would stay with a host family, and also get to go visit the Winter Palace and the Terejl National Park. The cost of the program includes my housing, airfares, insurance, visa fees, and application fees.
I heard about this program when my aunt, noticing my desire to go overseas for medicine (and do as much as I could while being a high school student), sent me a link to this awesome website full of amazing opportunities.
This program, and being able to participate in it, would be an absolute dream, and I cannot wait to go!
