Send Gabriella to a Specialised Music School!

For as long as I can remember, music has been a huge part of my life. I started singing since I could talk, and already as a toddler, people used to clap for me as I opened my mouth.

For my ninth birthday, my grandpa gave me a violin, since music had always been one of my greatest passions, and for some time, I taught myself using YouTube videos. Of course, I couldn’t go on forever like this, because I didn’t have anyone to check my posture, intonation, or technique, so we decided that I should start going to a music school.

We chose the Suzuki method in London, where I live, and in 4 short years, I had already reached grade 8, was 1st and 2nd violinist of two orchestras, the leader of a piano trio, and serving in churches as a gospel violinist.

At age 11, I was able to sing a duet with an accomplished baritone opera singer in front of one of the mayors of London, accompanied by an orchestra, play in the Southbank Centre and Trinity Conservatoire, and sing with the North London Children's Choir in the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.

By the time I was 13, I had reached the top group of Suzuki, being the only person to have skipped so many of them. I also skipped my first grades, and in my first exam, which was for grade 5, I was awarded "distinction", with my results reaching 142 points out of 150.

Throughout all this, I had loved going to nursing homes and hospitals, singing and playing for the ill and aged people, and I loved to see how music could be used as a medicine to heal people’s broken hearts, to talk without words, and to touch them in a profound way.

My private violin teacher suggested that I should audition for The Purcell School, one of the leading specialist music schools in the world for talented young musicians. I auditioned, and earned myself a place at this prestigious school. I was over the moon, however the school's fees are £34,152, which is far above what my parents can afford.

I currently have £24,986, so only £8,526 to go!

The past few years have been times of great opportunities and many privileges for me, and I hope that with your help, that I can bring God’s message of love to more people through music. Being able to go to this school and learn more would mean that I can continue to inspire people, and plant a small seed of hope in someone's life.

If you are currently unable to give please share this with other people so they will know too.

Thank you in advance!
