Veterinary internship opportunity in South Africa
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Supporters,
I am a third-year veterinary medicine student at the University of Glasgow, and I have been given the opportunity to work at the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in South Africa. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me to gain valuable experience working with a variety of exotic animals and to further my passion for veterinary medicine.
At the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, I will be working with a team of experienced veterinarians and animal caretakers to provide medical care, rehabilitation, and release for injured, orphaned, and abandoned animals. This will be an incredibly challenging and rewarding experience, as I will be working with a variety of species, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and many more.
As you can imagine, this opportunity comes with a significant cost. I am seeking funding to cover my travel expenses, living expenses, and the costs associated with participating in this program. I am hoping to raise £5,000 ($6,011) to cover these costs and make this experience possible.
This experience will not only allow me to gain hands-on experience in my field of study but also to further my desire to perform research in veterinarian medicine. I am confident that this experience will be invaluable in helping me to become a better veterinarian and researcher, and I am eager to take on this challenge. Becoming a veterinarian has been a dream of mine since I was very young but working in a sanctuary has been the main aspiration for my time in veterinary school. I am thankful for the opportunity in front of me, and I feel as if I will be able to live out my childhood fantasy of making a difference for animals in low-income countries that are often injured or orphaned by the destructive tendencies of mankind.
I would be grateful for any support you can provide in helping me to make this experience a reality. Your contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and allow me to pursue this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
Sincerely,
Kelsey McCoy
