My name is Joshua Andrew Alago, and this campaign is not for myself, but my family. This year, thus far, has been one of trials and tribulations. We've buried more loved ones than I wish to remember. We've watched our parents endure suffering right up until the very end. Despite it all, we've been strong. Now, as of last night 3/30/16, we've watched as entire lives have literally gone up flames.

My Uncle, Steven Serrano and my Aunt, Rosaira Quinones-Serrano have lost everything. They managed to escape the blaze with their toddler, Jayden Serrano. There is no hyperbole here. No exaggeration. No comedic overextension of the situation. They have literally lost everything. Their home, their clothes, their social security cards, birth certificates and all other important documents. They have nothing but the clothes they left the burning building with, their car keys and, most importantly, their lives. Red Cross has compensated the family for a 3 day stay in a hotel and that is where the aid ends. After that? It is in their own hands to figure out what to do. How does anyone create a life from nothing? How could anyone survive with nothing? Would they stay in a shelter? But then how can Jayden survive in that environment? These are the questions running rampant through my mind as we speak and these are the questions my family needs to come up with answers for. And we need answers immediately.

Neither Tio Stevie or Tio Rosa nor the baby have a scrap more of clothes other than what is on their backs. Not a crib for Jayden sleep in. Not a single pull up for him to waddle around in. Tio Stevie and Tia Rosa are a proud family and they would never ask for money on their own behalf. I am stepping in and begging for them. And begging I am. Every single penny donated is going to go towards rebuilding their lives. Every single article of clothing donated is more than we could ever be thankful for. Ever dollar given will go towards getting this family back on track.
