Paws4acause help stop animal torture

I invite you to please take a moment paws4thecause, and listen to Drax's story. Drax is an American bulldog just under 5 months old who was a very happy place. Until tragedy occurred July 4th of 2020. Drax's owner maliciously body slammed him to the ground only to pick him up again and slam him against the car shattering both of his rear femurs and paralyzing him. Drax was immediately rushed to the Monticello vet clinic in Iowa and at first was believed to have the possibility of a full recovery. He remained at the vet clinic until Monday and then when picked up we were told the news he was paralyzed and to take him home and see if in the next two weeks and he feeling were to return to his back legs. He is currently taking two different pain medications twice a day. Gabapentin and Rimadyl. Currently drax remains paralyzed in his back end and it is to be determined whether he will ever get the feeling in either of his legs back. The veterinarian currently is stating a few different options. If there is a chance he regains feeling in one or both of his legs he will be able to have pins and plates put repairing his femurs. If it is only one leg the other one will need amputated and worst case scenario both will need amputation and Drax will need a wheelchair for the rest of his life. The Jones County attorney's office has removed the dog from the home during pending charges with the agreement the dog needs to be surrendered. I  am currently appointed appointed as Drax's foster family during proceedings. Thomas Hand, the man responsible for the abuse is being charged with animal torture. Drax has a long road ahead of him and his overall future is uncertain. What once was a very happy little puppy is now a depressed andcand one that doesn't understand why he to can't run around and play. There will be many that bills to come and with the help of fundraising, charities and any personal donations all of the proceeds will go 100% to Drax's vet bills and anything additional will be donated to a local animal shelter for the further treatment and prevention of animal abuse.
