Ozzie’s story.  4/15/19 Hi, my name is Ozzie. Maybe you have heard about me. I’m the little lost gray dog that was found wandering in Oakmont.  I’m not sure how long I had been out wandering but on 3/15/19 I found a nice spot on someone’s doorstep. They weren’t home but that was OK. Lots of wonderful people came to see me.  They tried to catch me but all I would do was bark and growl. I was so scared.  They left food and water. I got lots of treats. But I would not let anyone come near me. Sonoma County Animal Services came to my rescue.  They took me to a new home where there were many other dogs. It was so noisy there, lots of barking. Sometimes I couldn’t even hear myself think. But they were kind to me. They fed me, gave me lots of water and a nice new soft bed. Everybody was giving me treats. But I was still barking and growling until I met Megan. She was so kind to me. She would carry me around, give me treats and eventually I started trusting her.  I love Megan. My friends back in Oakmont, really did a big campaign to try to find my owners.  But no luck. They worked really hard to find a rescue that was willing to take me and help me with my social skills so I could have a forever home. Team Oakmont contacted so many rescues. Then Dr. Christi Camblor of Compassion Without Borders (CWOB) saw how cute I was and saw my potential. They decided to take a chance on me. So off I go off to their Santa Rosa facility. There I meet all of their wonderful volunteers and a lot of new doggy friends. I love it here. I am improving every day and I’m starting to feel better and gaining my confidence back. That brings me to today. I want to thank all of the wonderful volunteers and hard workers that helped me find my way to CWOB. I am in the process of finding a new foster home and I am sure that I will find a forever home soon. Rescue groups, like Compassion without Borders are operated by volunteers and donations. It is very expensive to take care of me and all of my new doggy buddies. So I hope you will open your heart and your checkbook and make a donation to Compassion without Borders on my behalf.  Bonus, it’s tax-deductible. Thanks to all that have helped me on my journey. I know you know who you are.  But my journey, I’m sure is not over until I find my forever home. Thanks for all that everyone has done for me. Love and kisses, Ozzie, the little lost gray dog.  Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Compassion without Borders, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me and Ozzie.   More information about Compassion without Borders: International animal welfare and rescue organization with free or low-cost clinics and rescue facilities in Mexico and California.
