Nicholas Schwartz & Anna Fedorova (Oyster Duo) CD!

Anna and I are raising money for our debut CD as the Oyster Duo. It is an important stepping stone in the career for an artist to release a professional recording, yet these days labels do not have the money to invest in artists as they used to. The result is that the musicians themselves have to acquire the funding. This album has been a goal for us and we are very excited to share it with our friends, family and fellow musicians. The recording is in special collaboration with Jochem Geene at the Studio Van Schuppen in the Netherlands. The money will not only go towards the recording and editing, but also the studio rental, piano technician, booklet design, photoshoot and promotion.

This CD features a number of our own personal arrangements, thereby expanding the double bass repertoire. In fact only the Bottesini Tarantella was originally composed for the double bass.
