Own Horn for Royal Academy of Music
Donation protected
Hi all,
I am a current pupil at Christ’s Hospital, going into deps, who is committed to music at the school: I have been principal French Horn in the Band, orchestras and various ensembles since my LE. As well as music within the school, I am also lucky enough to be attending the junior Royal Academy of Music from September. However, I have been told that my current instrument, borrowed from the school, is not at a high enough standard and is holding me back in my playing as I work towards my diploma, by the Academy, and is also near impossible to carry around, which will become an issue travelling up to London each week. I have therefore decided to invest in an instrument that I can carry through to university and eventually to a career in music. I have been working all summer after my GCSEs to try and raise enough for my own instrument, and I have also received various national awards that are helping me financially, but I am still quite far off being able to afford a suitable horn, and I am struggling to come up with the money on my own before I start at the Academy in September. I would really appreciate any of you considering donating even a tiny amount to help me purchase my own horn. Thank you all so much for reading.
