Southern Maryland needs a place for pagans.
Owl Hill Kindred is creating a pagan friendly event area.
We have secured a site that is privately owned and pagan friendly.
Now we need to finish developing the site.
Why do we need your help?
The plans are to plant a green wall around the perimeter roadway, and create a private event area to host pagan events. With a walking grove of bee friendly plants and trees, altars, and meditation paths
Why are we doing this?
Like many pagans we were isolated from many venues.
It was decided that the best course of action was to provide a safe place to practice and commune. Our community needs a place for many peoples of different paths to celebrate together.
What’s the plan?
1.) Green Wall, planted around site for privacy, shade and soil conservation. 2019 completed
2.) Parking area, suitable to host 20 to 30 vehicles - Frey Bridge Completed, Parking area Completed 2019
3.) Fire Circle, build a permanent fire ring that points to the 4 corners and
surrounded by sand - Circle completed awaiting sand
4.) Shelter, build a wind proof 3 sided building to provide a central meeting place and shelter from the elements.
We are hoping to have this completed by the Samhain event in November, 2019.
This was the site for Midsummer 2019.
The site will be hosting Drum/Fire circles, and will be available for use for pagan friendly events.
