Owens' Family Hurricane -Rockport

Hello friends, Kathy Morse here from Boerne, Texas. We have 33 families displaced from Hurricane Harvey's destruction currently staying in Boerne.
This is a long story, made short.
I was fortunate enough to meet the Owens family through a friend who met them at a dinner a church was hosting for all the families; Jason, Daphne, Shelby & Ollie and hear their story. I have been praying to help a specific family, find their real needs, and help take care of them directly. My answered prayer is the Owens family. This sweet family is native to Rockport, Texas. When Harvey was on it's way, they grabbed a few belongings, threw it in their truck, and fled in the nick of time.
The family went back to find no power and total destruction. All that is left is a storage building. Sadly, while sifting through the debris, Mr Owens suffered a heart attack. He had to get a stent and stayed in the hospital for 7 days.
Area services have been helping and provided a temporary place to stay and a few changes of clothes. My goal is to raise enough money to find them decent housing so that they can begin to pick up the pieces of their lives and start over.
$5500, our attainable goal, would purchase a decent used RV to put on their lot and help cover the necessities of life while they look for jobs and get resettled. We would like to meet this goal quickly, by Tuesday September 26th. As soon as I can find a suitable clean RV, I will withdraw the amount from the fund to purchase, the remaining amount I will cut a check to them for everyday expenses.
