Thank you for taking the time to read Owen’s story, we truly appreciate you. Owen has been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis “A chronic, inflammatory bowel disease that causes inflammation in the digestive tract”. Due to this, we have made it the upmost importance to make trips to The children’s hospitals at both Baton Rouge and New Orleans once a week to ensure we can provide Owen with the best care. Owen also must have another test in two weeks for cystic fibrosis that showed up in testing today. We met with a surgeon today and foresee many more trips to the children’s hospitals. He will more than likely need to have surgery to fix his prolapse and that will be 2 to 5 days in the hospital. With each trip we are in need of a place to spend the night as well as fuel and food during these trips. We understand during these hard times of COVID we are all struggling to make ends meet. Im sure you’ll all understand the fact that Kona Ice has not been doing well, and to be honest the trips are expensive yet necessary.  We first and foremost ask you keep Owen in your thoughts and prayers as this will Not be an easy journey. If you feel it in your heart to help our family in this journey financially it will be beyond greatly appreciated.
