Owen Carter Medical Fund

In October of 2020, Owen was having some difficulty breathing. After going to the hospital, they diagnosed him with a pulmonary embolism in both of his lungs, and early stages of congestive heart failure. 

For 2 years Owen has battled with Congestive Heart Failure, but as his doctor's have stated "They've kicked the can down the road as much as they could." After numerous inpatient hospital visits, surgeries, physical therapy, as well as a vigorous medication regiment, the left and right side of Owen's heart is still so weak that the mechanical support (LVAD) was necessary, but the open heart procedure has placed Owen in ICU for over 2 months with no discharge date at this time.

This procedure is a bridge for Owen to become stronger, and eventually be placed on the transplant list for a heart.  However, his recovery will be extensive and there will be a need for major support mentally, emotionally, physically and financially.  

Owen and his family need our help. Plain and simple.

What about that time he helped you jump your car or listened to your problems?

Drove you to the airport?

Owen is always thinking about others and selfless to our needs now its our turn to show up for him.

Out of respect for his family I will not share any photos of Owen at this time, but his wife allowed me to share a picture from a foundation she has started in his honor.

Please continue to lift his family in prayer, and pray that Owens testimony can help someone else get through CHF.
