Overwhelm Katie Mazzocco with Love

April 26, 2021: Let's overwhelm our dear friend Katie Mazzocco with Love , Joy and Continued support!
None of us can imagine that our dear friend Katie is still battling the effects of Covid 19. We started this go fund me to bless her and send some love for her birthday last fall. But now we have increased the donation amount because the family really could use the support to cover the out of pocket medical expenses and support that Katie needs. Thank you all who have contributed already and I would ask if you are able to do so again and share this out... it is much appreciated! ~ Laurean
Original Notes when we started this: Please consider donating any amount and writing a birthday greeting to Katie. As you all know she has been battling Covid 19 and the effects of this horrible illness since March of 2020 and has had a horrible flood that caused mold in her home. They have had to replace just about everything in the house.
Many friends have come together and donated to help replace items in the home... BUT TODAY LETS JUST MAKE THIS ABOUT KATIE... BLESS HER AND SEND HER OUR LOVE!
Katie is one of the most inspiring and loving people I have ever met and I know every person who has had the pleasure of meeting her will testify to this as well!

12 Dumpsters and counting...
Thank you so so much for your outpouring of love since my last update. We are so touched
Many have reached out in comments, messages, texts and more asking how you can tangibly help us during this tremendously difficult time after our house disaster in the midst of my being on 9+ months of being bed bound from long term COVID complications and me out of work for the last nine months due to my severe health challenges.
In case you missed my last health and life update (link at the bottom of this post) in September we had a *catastrophic* house disaster from a leak that ruined all of our belongings that weren’t metal, glass or ceramic. All of our furniture, mattresses, linens, clothes, books, papers, toys, art, technology, memorabilia, holiday decorations, and everything else that isn’t glass or metal is unusable, which is... everything
The team we hired to restore our home is still working. So far they’ve cleaned out enough of our house to fill TWELVE large dumpsters and counting. There’s still 1.5 floors of our three floors to be cleared and lots of construction to be done.
Sadly due to the nature of the leak our insurance is not replacing any of our belongings.
Due to my extreme health issues my doctors have advised me that I cannot buy things second hand anymore as I always had to protect the environment.
Many of our friends have been urging us to create and share an Amazon wishlist so that they can help us rebuild. My heart overflows with gratitude
We have created a list to rebuild basic household items we need to help the kids have what they need for virtual school, have Jess have what he needs to teach virtual school and to get our family the basics of what we need to make our home inhabitable once again.
We’ve been working to replace the big stuff like beds, desks, tables, chairs, computers, technology, but there’s so much more in a house than those big expensive pieces.
The shipping address on the wishlist is my name with my mom’s address as she is helping us organize everything and care for me as I’m still so ill and mostly not mobile. Our house isn’t ready for all of the new things until the restoration is complete and we recently found out that it’ll be a longer process than we thought.
Thank you so much for all of the ways you’ve supported and blessed our family this year. I have no words to express my gratitude
