I am writing on behalf of the Latvian Overwatch National team. This year, Blizzard is hosting one of the biggest e-sports events in the world: the Overwatch World Cup at Blizcon on October 30th, 2019 through November 2, 2019, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Los Angeles (https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/news/22944574) Latvia is one of the teams that have been invited to compete in the tournament (https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/news/23021198).
As you probably know, e-sports events have become major events with enormous followings on a global level, on par with traditional sports world cups.
The game in which the team participates is Overwatch, one of the most popular online competitive games to date. It is a fast-paced, team-based, combat videogame. It is not graphically violent and it openly supports LGBT and racial diversity. (https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/)
Not only we want to participate and win, we would also like to promote Overwatch and Esports in our country.
Latvia is a small country, but we are fighters! We are reaching out to you, kind people, to help us pay for our lodging through the World Cup.
