Improve DTLA outdoor spaces for kids!

Join us in providing outdoor spaces that will help ignite creativity and imagination in the hearts and minds of the children who attend our non-profit school located in inner city Los Angeles!  

The vast majority of children we serve live in neighborhoods in downtown Los Angeles, where playgrounds and play spaces are either not available or are unsafe for the children to access.  We know that time outside is a vital aspect of healthy child development for socialization, creative thought and critical thinking.  The Shea Families Charities have provided us the amazing opportunity for a resurfaced yard, fencing, lunch area and classroom technology packages- if we can raise $55,000 or more!  With your help we can make it happen.

The problem: No safe play spaces.
Our school is a preschool through 8th grade non-profit located near downtown Los Angeles in the Pico-Union area, where many families live on an income at or below the federal poverty level. The local playgrounds in this area are often impacted with materials and activity that is dangerous to children.

What we’re doing about it.
For over 100 years we have provided a safe school with excellence in education founded in the teachings of God’s love for those most in need. We feel that providing our students with the best education includes providing them with a tool critical to healthy childhood development- a play space that is both enriching and attractive! You can help make this happen!

We are crowd funding $55,000 as part of a large grant that will match each dollar donated at almost 10 times the amount toward our new play spaces and lunch area!
The grantor has already begun the work, but the clock is ticking to the  end of September deadline. Every $1 you donate will count as  $10! If you donate $100 that is the same as $1,000 toward the playground and lunch area! Every single dollar counts and gets us one step closer! Because we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit your donation is also tax deductible.

We can imagine the smiles on our students’ faces when they see new play spaces when they see the final product! Please help us make that possible for them. What an incredible message of service and love- that adults from all over came together because they believe in them! We teach our children about the importance of service and love. One day, they will be adults who give back to our community, country and world.
