Out Cast@Edinburgh

WHO WE ARE:
Out Cast Theatre is Australia's longest running theatre collective with an emphasis on works relevant to the LGBTI communities.  Out Cast was established in 1997 and normally stages approx. 4 Melbourne shows a year plus touring commitments.

In 2018 we are heading back to Edinburgh for a return season of one of our biggest hits The Importance of Being Earnest as Performed by 3 F*cking Queens and a Duck. It completely sold out in its first Edinburgh season but as with any show getting it up and under the lights is easy.

As a completely self funded company travelling half way across the globe to show our wares  and paying for the privilege of taking part in the world’s biggest Arts Festival is the hard part.

Then we pay our airfares at approx. $5500 AUD total and that’s a big eeeek! from us.


THIS IS WHAT WE NEED IT FOR:
All moneys raised in our GoFundme will go towards the GBP 3720 theatre hire.  Actors/crew are paying their own airfares, food & accommodation.


WHY ARE WE DOING IT?
Edinburgh is the biggest arts festival in the world with sometimes 3500 shows competing for an audience and as such it is also a buyers' market which provides opportunities for our unpaid actors and crew to strut their stuff on a bigger stage. It also affords us the opportunity to see what others are doing, develop relationships with producers and companies.

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS:
 You can donate what you want [WE WILL LOVE YOU ALL THE SAME] but…

For $50 you get a free copy of the printed script signed by the writer & actors and a special crawly mention in our programme.

For $100 you get a script, ticket to our next Melbourne or Sydney season and a mention in our programme

For $150 or above that, well…we don’t do that sort of thing and shame on you for asking. Alright  [2 x show tickets for 2019, one of our printed play scripts of choice, a cheaply mounted poster and our undying gratitude.]
