Heriberto's Open Heart Surgery

This Sweet faced Boy is Heriberto "Eddy" he is 11 years Old. Foot Ball is Totally his passion "Go Hawks!" #35" he is absolutely amazing on the field, he loves Basketball, riding bikes his skateboard and collecting Pokémon cards amongst lots of other activities he likes to stay active! On September 16th we went for a routine physical appointment here in our home town every thing was normal just his blood pressure was a bit high our Dr. was a bit concerned she referred him to the Aurora Children's Hospital cardiac unit. On the 19th of September we went in for an EKG, CatScan, X-rays and Ultrasound for him everything looked Great Except once again his blood pressure was extremely high! We waited for Dr Jones to give us the results we come to find out That our Eddy has a heart defect his Main Arteries were all on the Left side of his heart! Dr Jones said we need to have OPEN HEART SURGERY asap! I was in utter shock and in tears the sadness in my little boys eyes was beyond heart breaking. To think he has lived all his life this way and the words "any hard impact will kill him " without warning ⚠️ running threw my head. His life just blurred throw my head every little crazy thing he did, jumping from couch to coffee table because he was "super man for the day" to entertain his baby brother or riding his bike at the skate park on the ramps at super fast speeds because it was "cool" , playing tackle foot ball and just sprinting across the field and dropping another player , just being a normal kid could take my sweet boy away from our family.Dr Jones told him No more of anything ruff nor overactive sports Especially Football my poor boy was in tears as it was, hearing those words completely broke his heart. He has been undergoing test after test every week since then to make sure he will be stable enough to have his surgery. On our last visit this past Tuesday 10/10/17 he was having lots of chest pain Dr Jones was very concerned and said it is very crucial that he get his surgery within the next 2 weeks his surgery is scheduled For 10/24/2017. He will be in the hospital for 7-10 days in the ICU for recovery. Our family will have to relocate temporarily while he undergoes his surgery and recovery. Eddie is an extremely strong Boy with a passion for life! We all will be loving and supporting him every step of the way! This is certainly going to be a challenging rest of the year for my sweet boy and our family. Sadly, when tragic events occur life still goes on and the bills keep on coming. Although he has insurance we still need to pay his copay and still need to keep up on our rent, bills, and try to afford everything plus having to pay for hotel rooms, food etc while away from home and we will have lost wages due to it being far from home and having to get the time off to be with our child.I am reaching out to all of you in support of our family.
