Homeless Shelter (Brentford)

Hello all,
Thanks for considering donating to our local homeless shelter.
As many of you know, we offer a Monday drop-in where we provide hot showers and warm meals. The drop-in offers not only a few hours rest bite but a chance to make friends and get a little help. Many of the guests we have helped in the past have now found homes and permanent work and it is brilliant to see them turn things around.
Unfortunately we are not funded by any charity and so each meal is cooked (and payed for) by the volunteers themselves. That's where you come in! We are asking for donations to help with the costs of running the shelter. On average we cook for 10 - 20 people each week, which normally costs us between £20 - £30 a week. We also cover the costs of toiletries and wash their clothes, so we have extra costs of shower gel, shampoo, washing powder etc
We previously set our target at £500 and we managed to raise just over £300 in the winter months. Now we have reached April and the funds are completly gone and we are back to self-funding (since March). So, we are upping our target in the hopes you kind people will continue to donate. and support as as we move forward in 2018.
As promised a chunk of the money raised over winter went on Christmas gifts, see the update for a picture of what our gifts were :)
