Funeral for a Great Dad

On May 4th, 2013, our dad
had a heart attack. His heart had completely stopped and there was a
lack of oxygen to the brain before the paramedics were able to arrive
and get his heart started again. During his time at the hospital, he
was also having repetitive seizures, causing additional damage to his
brain before they were able to provide medication to stop the
seizures. A few years ago our dad had a triple bypass surgery and
has since had issues with congestive heart failure, COPD and other
health issues and now this heart attack.
Our dad was hooked up to life support machines for over a week and they were the only thing keeping him alive. On May 13th we had the machines removed. Our father will soon be with those who went before him in heaven. He will finally be at peace and no longer sick.
In addition to being our father and making a big impact on our lives, he has helped other people and touched other lives throughout his life, including driving home people from a local bar for over 10 years and potentially saving their lives and the lives of others.
Unfortunately, he left no will and had no life insurance and we are asking for your help to ensure he has a proper burial. Your help is greatly appreciated and means a lot. In order for this to happen we need to raise about $3000.
For those of you who can help, we thank you. For those of you who are unable to help financially, we ask for your prayers during this time and thank you for those.
