Our Turn to Help Eric

Donation protected
Eric Wyatt is my nephew. I have quite a few nephews, and they're all wonderful.

Eric is a special kind of wonderful, however.

Eric has a big, tender heart and is always willing to help others. When he and his first wife wanted kids, they adopted. Ayden and Kenna are the joy of his life with his wife, Elizabeth. Together, Eric and Elizabeth show, through example, how to be Christ-like. They emulate Jesus Christ every day, teaching me and others how to be better and kinder people. Years ago, I found out that Eric regularly visited my Grandpa and Granda's, and Aunt's and Uncle's, graves in Arlington Memorial Cemetery when he lived in Cincinnati, Ohio -- teaching his kids that family matters. Eric puts his own needs and wants aside to tend to others who are in need -- showing through example that we are our brother's keeper.

Now it's our turn to help Eric.

In early October, Eric developed blood clots in his leg, and local doctors in his small Wyoming town treated him. On October 27, Eric started coughing up blood and went to the emergency room 45 minutes away in Evanston, Wyoming. Two hours later, they admitted him to the hospital with "raging pnemonia" in one lung, ruled out COVID, yet thought it might be either a fungal or bacterial infection. If it were either infection, he'd need to go to the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

On November 2nd, they discharged Eric, with instructions to be on oxygen constantly. Eric's condition did not improve.

Yesterday afternoon, November 12th, Eric passed out at home. His oxygen levels were critically low, and his dad -- my brother, Allen Wyatt -- took Eric to the emergency room in Evanston, yet they could not improve Eric's oxygen levels. They immediately transferred Eric by ambulance to the University of Utah Hospital -- an hour's journey from Evanston.

Today is Sunday, November 13th. The doctors transferred Eric to the ICU ward to increase his oxygen intake, watch his vital signs closely, and prepare to perform a bronchoscopy.

Eric has no medical insurance because he is self-employed. He and his family own and work in the Print Shop in his little town in Wyoming, trying to make a living. These medical challenges are daunting physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially.

It's our turn to help Eric. This is Eric right now. Today. Sunday afternoon, November 13, 2022, in the ICU of the University of Utah Hospital.

I'm asking all of you who know Eric to please help him. He's helped each one of us all of these years without asking anything in return. Let's help Eric and his family the best we can. Please get the word out to your friends, too. Perhaps they have a little money to give to help Eric and his family in their time of need.

All of the money that this Go Fund Me generates will pay for Eric's many medical bills incurred at hospitals and doctors.

Thank you, from Eric's Aunt April.

I am April Wyatt Reinhardt, and we need your help for Eric.
