Our sweet dog Weeks

Hello Friends and family. My wife, Bailey and I are creating this page due to an unfortunate circumstance with out sweet pup, Weeks. Weeks came into our lives as a rescue from the side of the road in Alabama a year and a half ago. He has had nothing short of a rough and tough life. His older brother, Shepherd, whom I rescued from the streets in Tennessee has mostly raised him along with us of course. We recently got back from a trip home for Thanksgiving and to our dismay we were not met with the typical cheerful puppy we know Weeks to be. He has been sick to his stomach, gloomy and decreasing in energy more each day. His condition is keeping him from being the spunky, outgoing dog he normally is. We took him to an emergency vet Saturday 12-7-2019 and were administered a few pain meds and an anti-inflammatory. They have not made much of a difference yet. Today, 12-9-2019 we went to 3 vet offices to have tests and x-rays done to figure out the issue. We have no definite answers yet and are being told to go to North Carolina State University in Raleigh to get even further testing done. All of his symptoms are leading the Veterinarians to tell us it could be meningitis. Meningitis in dogs is a neurological disease that results in inflammation of the protective membranes that surround the central nervous system called the meninges. Symptoms can be severe when untreated and meningitis may cause serious conditions like secondary inflammation in the brain or spine. Also, meningitis in dogs can cause neurological problems like seizures and paralysis and some cases it can be fatal. There are also different types of meningitis. 
We are setting this page up now and getting the word out to ask for your help financially, in prayer, and with sharing this post. Any funds given will go directly to helping Weeks through this process.  We have thus far incurred $600.00 in bills and counting. Tomorrow, 12-10-2019 at the NC State College we hope to get good news and some answers. They are telling us in order to correctly treat this disease it has to be diagnosed properly with a CSF/spinal tap($850-$1,200)and/or MRI($2,000-$3,500). On top of this potential diagnosis we will have to pay for treatment for a number of weeks.
Again we are really hoping for a good diagnosis tomorrow, 12-10-2019 but we are preparing to hear some not so good news also. Please pray for our neurologist to find what is contaminating our puppie's body.  Please check back tomorrow as you will get an update and see the end financial goal.
